May-Ying Chu, Ph.D.

Dr. Chu has more than 20 years of experience in managing battery R&D, intellectual property portfolios, government contracts and audits, and is an inventor on 28 issued U.S. patents and more than 50 international patents. Chu is the lead inventor of the nonaqueous Li/sulfur battery technology. She received a B.S. and M.S. in Materials Science, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D in Materials Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
